DirectionsFort Adams is located within Fort Adams State Park, a short drive from downtown Newport. Free on-site parking is available near the Fort Adams State Park Visitor Center. Follow the signs to the north end of the State Park.
Two seasonal water shuttles connect downtown Newport, Jamestown, and the Fort — a scenic, stress-free way to arrive by water. Tour discounts are available when arriving by water shuttle. See Jamestown Newport Ferry and Oldport Marine Shuttle for schedules, fares, and details.
The Fort is a 3.5-mile bike ride (about 20 minutes) from the Newport Visitor Center. Please consider biking if it is accessible to you.
